Fees and Commission Structure

At Seekan, we strive to maintain transparency and fairness in our fee and commission structures. Below is a breakdown of how fees are applied to both Service Seekers and Service Providers on our platform.


For Service Seekers 💳

  • Booking Fee: A 5% service fee is applied to each booking. This helps us maintain and improve the platform. The exact fee will be displayed at checkout.
  • Cancellations and Refunds: If a booking is canceled, refunds (if applicable) will be processed in accordance with our Cancellation and Refund Policy.

Note: No additional fees are charged beyond what is stated at the time of booking.


For Service Providers 🛠️

  • Platform Commission: Seekan retains a percentage of the service fee charged to Service Seekers. This commission covers operational costs, marketing, and support services.
    • Standard Commission: A 10% of the service listed price.
    • Discounted Commission: For top-rated providers or during promotional periods, a reduced rate may apply. If you’re interested in a special rate, please reach out to pricing@seekan.ca

How Fees Are Calculated 📊

Here’s an example of how the Platform Commission is applied:

  • Service Price: $100
  • Platform Commission: 10%
  • Earnings for Provider: $90

Fees are automatically deducted, and the remaining balance is transferred to the provider’s account.


Additional Information ℹ️

  • Promotional Offers: From time to time, Seekan may waive or reduce fees for special promotions.
  • Taxes: Providers are responsible for reporting and remitting any applicable taxes on their earnings.
